Welcome to the homestead

Thank you for visiting us on the journey to build our dream farm/homestead in Central Oregon. The struggle is real for small farmers and ranchers in Oregon, the hurdles to overcome, the time invested and the work ahead of you can sometimes feel daunting. But the rewards can be a blessing for decades and generations to come

Our roots run deep in Oregon and we intend on  laying some more. Matt and Camie Foster are both multi generational Oregonians with a long family history of farming and ranching in Oregon. From  raising cattle on meadows and sagebrush of the high desert, to hops and berries in the fertile Willamette valley. These were the childhood experiences and the work ethic instilled in us that has led us on this journey to build our own family farm for our children. 

Because that’s the dream right? To own a piece of property that you own, not the bank. A place you and your family can feel secure, a place you can grow some good hay, some healthy food, some quality beef and horses and most important good kids.

We love this little community of Tumalo that sits along the Deschutes River just outside of Bend. It’s where Matt and Camie first met at the country store exchanging a dog. Camie had just bought her own little 6 acre horse farm do the road and Matt was getting started in the Custom hay business. Scrounging equipment up and finding places to hay.
